The Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) is a three year course of study (CAI I, II and III) held at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana each March. Designed for leaders in the industry and auction firm decision-makers, the CAI is an executive development program focused on developing the skills and providing the most up to date tools necessary to run a top-notch auction firm. It is considered the top level of auction education and has created an extraordinary network of exemplary auctioneers in the auction industry.
The National Auctioneers Association created the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS) professional designation to provide Auctioneers with advanced training in planning and conducting successful benefit auctions, as well as techniques to establish a successful and profitable benefit auction business. BAS students are taught how to market themselves to prospective clients, aid clients in coordinating a well-planned auction, market the auction and create a fun and exciting event that generates more revenue for clients and auction businesses.
Founded in 1949, the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to professional auctioneers. The NAA was built by auctioneers, for auctioneers. Headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., the NAA represents the interests of thousands of auctioneers in the U.S., Canada and across the world.
